How do we do it?
This well thought out program is the result of extensive research into the best practices for helping children who struggle with social skills delays or disabilities. We have come up with a three pronged system that gets results.
Assessment
Assessment begins with a conversation with you–the parent. We learn from you what concerns you have and what teachers and other caregivers are saying as well. Then we have a fun interview that we do with your child to get to know his strengths and challenges. We use all this information to help tailor the program to provide your child with help for his particular challenges while also playing to his strengths.
Skill Building through fun
This is the meat and potatoes of our program. (Beans and corn to you vegetarians!) No matter what activity we are doing in the moment whether it is collaborating on a video project, taking a nature hike, or a rousing game of Statues, we are constantly creating teaching moments to address your child’s particular skill set. We create challenges as well as find moments to cheer, and all through fun so the children don’t even realize how hard they are working.
Collaboration with Parents
We strive to make parents a part of our team so that your particular concerns are addressed and so that you can also reinforce the learning at home and in the classroom. We offer you all the tools necessary, so that you can continue the learning long after our program is over.
Still not sure whether your child has a social skills delay or disability, then click here to take a short quiz which will help you to decide.
